1. About this guide
As an account manager you use the campaign dashboard to review performance, tell the story of the campaign through charts, and keep the underlying data correct. This guide covers all of it: reading your dashboard, filtering it, building and editing charts, editing the data those charts are drawn from, and working directly in the data grids.
2. Getting started and screen layout
Open a campaign and it lands on the Summary tab. Move between views using the tabs near the top: Summary, Dashboard, Data Grid, Detail, Report and Audit History. Three areas are always visible:
- Left panel — campaign details and quick links to settings such as Campaign Brief, Venues, Resources and the Calendar.
- Campaign header — the campaign name, and a record count showing how much data is behind the current view.
- Global controls (top-right) — Period, View, Colour Theme, Refresh, Target and Export (see section 3).
3. Global controls
These controls sit in the top-right of the dashboard and shape what you see no matter which tab you are on.
| Control | What it does |
| Period | Choose the time frame: “All” for the whole campaign, or “Date Selection” for a specific range. |
| View | Choose whose data is included: All, Promoters Only, or Supervisors Only. |
| Colour Theme | Change the chart colour palette — for example Summer, Winter, Galaxy, Mono Purple, Black & Gold and others. A palette icon beside it allows a custom colour. |
| Refresh | Reloads the dashboard with the latest data (circular-arrows icon). Use this after data has been edited. |
| Target | Opens Campaign Targets, where you choose what the dashboard measures against: Rate of Sale, Product, or Venue target. Click Save to apply. |
| Export | Exports the current view to Excel (.xlsx) or PowerPoint. |
4. Reviewing your dashboard
Summary tab
Your at-a-glance overview. A Key Indicators bar shows the campaign Dates, Stores and Shifts, followed by two headline cards — Engagement (Approached, Engaged, Engage Rate) and Sales (Total Sales, Avg / Shift, Engaged → Sales). Below is a week-by-week table (stores, shifts run, make-up shifts, total sales, average sales per shift). Use the arrow on a week row to expand it.
Dashboard tab
The interactive, chart-driven view. Charts are grouped into collapsible sections — Sales, Feedback and Survey. Each section header shows its chart count, a collapse arrow, and an Order Charts button. This is where you filter, build and arrange charts (sections 5–7).
Note: the Survey section has no standard charts, because survey questions differ per campaign. View and edit survey responses on the Feedback Data set in the Data Grid.
Detail tab
A Store Performance table — one row per store, with its channel, number of shifts and total sales. Handy for spotting the strongest and weakest stores. Filter and sort it as needed.
Audit History tab
Shows who changed what, most recent first: the time (UTC), the user, the entity and field changed, and the old and new values. Use Refresh for the latest, and Export to download the log. This is where edits made in the grids show up.
5. Filtering the dashboard
On the Dashboard tab, a row of filters sits above the charts. Set any combination and every chart updates to match.
| Filter | Purpose |
| Region / Channel / Venue | Limit to particular regions, retail channels or venues. |
| Promoter | Focus on specific promoters. |
| Product | Focus on one or more products. |
| Date From / Date To | Set a custom date range. |
| Week / Week Starts | Jump to a campaign week, and set which day the week begins on. |
Click Clear Filters to remove them all and return to the full data set.
6. Working with charts
Sections and order
Each section (Sales, Feedback, Survey) can be collapsed with its arrow. Click Order Charts to rearrange the charts within a section — drag them, or use the up/down arrows, then click Save Order.
The per-chart toolbar
Hover over any chart and four icons appear in its top-right corner:
| Icon | What it does |
| Full screen | Expands the chart to fill the screen for a closer look. |
| Change chart orientation | Switches how the chart is drawn — for example between a horizontal bar and a vertical column. |
| Resize | Toggles the chart between half-width and full-width (spanning the whole row). |
| Hide | Removes the chart from view. Restore it later from the “Hidden” dropdown at the top of the tab. |
Hiding, restoring and resetting
- Hidden dropdown — the “n Hidden” control at the top of the tab lists hidden charts; pick one to bring it back.
- Reset Layout — restores every chart to its default arrangement, size and type in one click.
- Undo — the curved-arrow icon reverses your most recent layout change.
7. Creating a chart
Click Add Chart (top of the Dashboard tab) to open the Add Custom Charts builder and create a chart tailored to what you want to show.
| Option | Description |
| Chart Type | Bar, Line, or Pie / Donut. |
| Bar Chart Type | For bar charts, the orientation — Vertical or Horizontal. |
| Combine Graph | A toggle to plot several selected metrics together on one chart instead of separate charts. |
| Metrics | The values to chart, grouped by area — for example Sales & Activity (Sales Captured, Customers Approached, Customers Engaged, Samples Handed Out, Shift Count, Total Hours in Field) and Feedback. Pick one or more, or Select All. |
| Group By | The dimension to break data down by: No Grouping, By Store, By Region, By Channel, By Agent, By Promoter, By Supervisor, By Day of Week, By Hour of Day, By Week, and more. |
| Section | Which dashboard section the new chart is added to. |
The button at the bottom shows how many charts your choices will create (for example “Add 1 Chart”). Click it to add them, or Cancel to close.
Tip To “edit” an existing custom chart, adjust it with the per-chart toolbar (change type, resize), or hide it and add a new one with the settings you want. Use Reset Layout to return to the defaults at any time.
8. Editing the data behind the charts
The charts are drawn from the campaign data in the Data Grid — so to change what a chart shows, you edit the data that feeds it, then refresh the dashboard.
| Chart area | Where its data comes from |
| Sales charts | Driven by the Sales Data set — edit Units Sold, Sales Target, Sales Captured, etc. |
| Engagement / conversion | Driven by activity data (customers approached and engaged, samples, shifts). |
| Feedback charts | Driven by the Feedback Data set. |
To edit that data:
- Go to the Data Grid tab and open the relevant data set (for example Sales Data).
- Find the record (Search or a filter), click the cell and change the value.
- Click Save. Then return to the Dashboard and click Refresh to see the charts update.
Full detail on editing and filtering the grids is in the next section. All edits are recorded in Audit History.
9. Editing the data grids
The Data Grid works like a spreadsheet, split into five data sets you select at the top.
The five data sets
The grid is split into data sets, selected with the buttons along the top. Each holds a different slice of the campaign:
| Data set | What it contains |
| Summary Data | The core record list — venue, region, channel, promoter, date, execution specialist and run status. Your starting point for most checks. |
| Sales Data | Sales figures per record: sales target, sales captured, sales comment and units sold for each product. |
| Feedback Data | Customer feedback and survey responses captured in the field. |
| Survey Data | Survey answers for the campaign (questions vary per campaign). |
| Supervision Data | Supervision records logged against the campaign. |
Tip Switching data sets keeps you on the same campaign — you are just changing which columns and values you see.
Editing a cell
You edit data directly in the grid — there is no separate form. Click the cell you want to change and it becomes editable. The type of editor depends on the column:
| Cell type | How to edit it |
| List / name cells | Columns such as Execution Specialist or Run Status open a searchable dropdown. Start typing to narrow the list, or scroll and click the value you want. |
| Number cells | Columns such as Units Sold or Sales Target open a number box — click (or double-click) the cell and type the figure. |
| Text cells | Columns such as Sales Comment open a text box — click and type freely. |
Other useful actions while editing:
- Clear a value — click the small × inside the cell editor to empty it.
- Move on — click another cell, or press Tab / Enter, to move to the next value.
- Cancel a cell — press Esc before saving to discard what you typed in that cell.
Saving and undoing your changes
Edited cells are held until you save them. Use the small toolbar above the top-right of the grid:
| Control | What it does |
| Save | The disk icon — writes all your edits to the campaign. Do this when you are happy with your changes. |
| Undo | The curved-arrow icon — reverses unsaved edits if you make a mistake. |
| Show Only Edited Rows | Filters the grid down to just the rows you have changed, so you can review everything before you save. |
Best practice Get into the habit of clicking Show Only Edited Rows, checking your changes, then Save. It takes seconds and catches mistakes.
Every saved change is recorded in the campaign’s Audit History (who changed what, when, and the old and new value), so edits are always traceable.
Filtering the grid
There are three ways to narrow down what you see. None of them change your data — they only control which rows are shown.
1. Search box
The quickest option. Type any text into the Search box (top-right of the grid) to show only rows containing that text.
2. Column quick filter
Click the small funnel icon in a column’s header to filter by that column. A panel opens with a search box, a Select All option, and a tick box for each distinct value in the column. Tick the values you want and click OK.
3. Advanced Filter Builder
For anything more detailed, click Create Filter above the grid to open the Filter Builder. Here you can combine several conditions with logic.
Build a filter like this:
- Click the + next to the logic word (“And”) and choose Add Condition.
- A condition appears with three parts — click each to set it: the Field (the column), the Operator (how to compare), and the Value (what to match).
- Add more conditions the same way, or choose Add Group to nest a set of conditions together.
- Click the logic word to switch how conditions combine: And, Or, Not And or Not Or.
- Remove any condition with the × beside it. When you are done, click OK to apply.
Fields you can filter on include Venue, Region, Channel, Promoter, Date, Execution Specialist, Run Status, Booking ID, Agent, Role, Shift Duration, Day of Week, Week, Start Hour, End Hour, Sales Captured, and more.
Operators include:
| Operator | Meaning |
| Contains / Does not contain | Match rows that include (or exclude) your text. |
| Starts with / Ends with | Match the beginning or end of the value. |
| Equals / Does not equal | Exact match, or everything except. |
| Is blank / Is not blank | Find empty or filled cells. |
| Is any of / Is none of | Match against a list of values. |
The applied-filter bar
Once a filter is applied, a bar appears above the grid describing it (for example “[Venue] Contains ‘TRADEWAY’”). It has a tick box on the left to switch the filter off and on without deleting it, and a Clear link on the right to remove it completely.
Sorting
Click a column header to sort the grid by that column; click again to reverse the order. Sorting works alongside any filter you have applied.
10. Exporting
- Export — set your filters, Period and View so the data is what you want, then click Export and choose Excel (.xlsx) or PowerPoint.
11. Step-by-step: common tasks
Review a campaign quickly
- Start on the Summary tab for the headline numbers.
- Open the Dashboard tab, set any filters, and scan the Sales and Feedback charts.
- Check the Detail tab for store-level performance.
Build a new chart
- On the Dashboard tab, click Add Chart.
- Choose a chart type, select metrics and a Group By dimension, pick the section, and click Add.
Fix a chart that looks wrong
- Check your filters, Period and View first — they may be narrowing the data.
- If the underlying numbers are wrong, edit them in the Data Grid, Save, then Refresh the dashboard.
Correct campaign data
- Go to Data Grid, open the right data set and find the record.
- Edit the cell(s), review with Show Only Edited Rows, then Save.
12. Quick answers
The numbers look out of date. Click Refresh, and check your Period, View and filters.
A chart disappeared. It is probably hidden — open the “n Hidden” dropdown to restore it, or click Reset Layout.
My layout is a mess. Click Reset Layout to return every chart to its default.
I edited data but the chart didn’t change. Save your edits in the grid, then Refresh the dashboard.
Where are survey results? On the Feedback Data set in the Data Grid — survey questions vary per campaign, so there are no standard survey charts.
